Morrill Mountain Fruit Farm wants to support innovative projects by awarding very small grants to individuals, teachers and schools. Since there is a lot of digging in the dirt before a farm becomes productive, we at Morrill Mountain Fruit Farm value process and projects that explore the fun of science, art and of problem solving. These grants can be sought to help fund a project that needs a little extra money for supplies or to put real equipment and materials in the hands of kids who might, otherwise, not have access.
There are NO deadlines. Applications are reviewed as they are received and funds awarded on their availability. Decisions also take into account the quality of thought of the proposed project and the commitment of the applicants to carry it out. Unlike more formal funding sources, we do not look for measurable outcomes. We look for a narrative that describes the experience of exploratory thinking.
